Would you trust your servers, the kitchen and the restaurant itself when your sense of sight is completely inhibited?
Please give a warm welcome to Glenn Domingo who will be giving us a list of restaurants to try! So if you ever find yourself hungry in Pampanga read on! - CJ
So my penchant for Kbeauty has always come hand-in-hand with Korean cuisine. I'm always on the lookout for food and restaurants that I haven't tried. I wanted to try one of the many Korean restaurants/cafes in Ortigas and I decided on Sopoong Food House. I wanted something cold that day (we went there during the heat wave here in the PH around March or April) so cold desserts were the goal.

Reddimart President Jerbie Ong (right) introducing Sosro and getting the brand, that was originally from Indonesia, here in the PH.
While waiting for the big celebrity ambassador reveal, I tried Sosro's Freeze variant.
Suprise! It's Sofia Andres (donning her ice goddess garb) this generation's' teen queen, chosen as the Sosro's official ambassador.
From Manila with Love Team Represent! :)) lol
One of the highlights was the surprise performance of UDD to cap off the night! Amazing as always UDD!
Where to check out Sosro : SM Hypermarkets, Landmark, Sta. Lucia Grocery, Tropical Hut, Hi-Top Supermarket, Walter Mart, Pioneer Center, and other leading supermarkets.
Have you tried a bottle? What kind of flavored drink do you grab from the convenience stores/supermarkets when you want to chill out?
xx,
CJ
PS. As always, keep your sugar levels within a reasonable limit! Also drink plenty of water to wash down the sugar and to effectively hydrate yourselves. :*

Do you use emojis? What am I asking, a lot of people use emojis (Yes Skype and Yahoo Messenger users, you too!). From people peppering their messages with a couple to actually sending emojis to accurately describe what they're feeling/doing/wanting etc. It's pretty normal to send a *pleading* emoji instead of typing out please oh please oh please let me borrow the car tonight.
And Krispy Kreme knows the pull of emojis in giving a little flavor to how we communicate.
This 2016 you can decorate your doughnuts with meaningful (or just nonsense, depends on how you use it) emojis through Krispy Kreme's emoji sprinkles — part of their #EmojiMagic year-long campaign.
Aside from the usual emojis available all-throughout the year, there'll also be seasonal/holiday specific emojis available... Will they have one for this coming Labor Day though?
Me and my brother went to Krispy Kreme's flagship store at BGC to go to their "Emoji Park" last February 20th to witness the #EmojiMagic first-hand and to #ShareTheKK. We took a look at the different doughnuts, played some games, checked-out the design-your-doughnut booth, took pictures at the emoji wall and enjoyed the general atmosphere.
The kid had a lot of fun...
Ok fine. I did too. I mean both of us basically consumed our sugar limit for the day within a few minutes so we were pretty jacked-up.
If you're near a KK check out the emoji doughnut sprinkles and #ShareTheKK with everyone!
Do you use emojis? Which are your most used ones?
xx,
CJ
PS. Sugar is addictive. Only take the appropriate amount within the daily limit. For the most part, I only get my processed sugar fix in coffee. Sugaaaar why can't I quit youuuuuu? *shakes fist in the air*
I like to eat. Everyone likes to eat I imagine. And a lot of people in the metro love dining out as evidenced by numerous restaurants and franchises popping-up here and there. Apart from the food itself, ambiance is also a factor for me, good thing Max's Group Inc (MGI) just hatched this crazy good idea to create this cozy, engaging and conversation-friendly eating concept in Bonifacio Global City Taguig.
Conveniently located in one of the business districts and lifestyle hotspots in Manila, Burgos Eats combines well-loved restaurants in a laid-back casual shared-space concept. Think "co-working" for restaurants! Or think fancy food courts at the mall...only outside the mall. :))
Burgos Eats allows MGI—the largest casual dining operator in the country—to go beyond their individual stores and create a venue where a community of diners can interact with each other and some of the company’s loved food brands, such as Yellow Cab, Pancake House, Teriyaki Boy, Krispy Kreme, and Jamba Juice.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the hanging lights?
One of the features this shared-space brings is that you don't have to restaurant-hop to try each restaurant you want. For example, you can order from Krispy Kreme while staying put at Jamba Juice with your smoothie.
This table in the middle can be occupied by anyone dining from any of the restaurants available inside Burgos Eats. Benches and stools are also available within the area so there's plenty of seating to go around.
During the launch last November 2nd we were treated to live music by Roxy Modesto, Slow Sink and KidThrones. Sax with techno (or was it house? I have no idea) with guitar and violin. Experimental. Different. And it was really good.
Mural made specially for Burgos Eat's Yellow Cab.
“We envision Burgos Eats to become a breath of fresh air in the local casual dining scene and enrich the Filipinos’ dining tradition while catering to the country’s changing food culture.” says Jim T. Fuentebella, MGI’s Executive Director for Marketing.
The "old-worn-out-wood" look. The furniture. The roof. The lanterns. THE SLIDING DOORS! This particular branch of Teriyaki Boy screams authentic Japanese facade. Amazing job designers.
This new hub will be a dining experience I can't wait to try with my friends soon.
What do you think? Will you check it out?
xx,
CJ
PS. You really have to go see it for yourself. I imagine it would be prettier at night, but that's just because I liked the lighting so much that time.
PPS. Here I am moonlighting as a Juicer(?). Is that how they're called? Thanks for letting me make my own drink at Burgos Eats MGI! Good thing they gave me the recipe. I just wanted to get all the fruit I could find and chuck it in the blender.
