I'm definitely more a sneakers/boots person. My last kicks I wore to death for a year and a half before it gave out. So I decided it was time for some new ones, apart from the fact that wearing stiff boots most of the time has earned me the nick name - tomb raider, which I don't necessarily mind. It was time to switch it up a bit and wear something a little more comfortable.
I love making wishlists {and dream boards}. I think they're a good thing to do when you have some certain goals/dreams you want to achieve, it helps when you make them and immortalize them in one way or another. Not to mention it makes for a good blog post every now and then. *ahem*
Plus it's always fun to see {at least for me} what others are coveting lately, be it fashion, home improvement or something beauty related.
I just had one light colored jean since forever, I don't have it anymore which was why I thought of picking another one up because it makes for a variety in outfit choices if I had at least one again that's light-colored/acid-washed. Despite the thickness of my thighs and against the advice of most fashion articles {large thighs/legs should avoid white/light colored bottoms} I think I wear it quite well. Anyone can wear it well to be honest. Finding the right cut and right color is the key.
Lately it's been getting cooler and cooler, I sometimes just leave the windows open and snuggle against my pillows. I personally think this is the perfect weather for dressing up so I've been drawn to jumpers/sweaters. Choosing other colors other than gray, black and shades of white proved to be quite the challenge for me but I think I did well in incorporating the blue floral number, which I think is really beautiful against the dreary weather and can be dressed-up or down.
The other two gray jumpers are amusing to me. Type-designed tops are great conversation starters especially ones that pose a question, are funny or unbelievable stupid.
Jeepers Creepers! {Dang, how long was it since I last saw Scooby Doo? The original version.---they've rebooted it and I think the original's art and story-line were way cooler} These creepers have been on my shoe list since FOR-fucking-EVER. And the ones that I've seen here are too small and too common. Nothing exceptional about the material and/or design so I will continue scouting for them. I swear on the blood of my ancestors---I will have them!
Don't you think this Moschino bucket bag just seals the deal? Black+Chains+Red piping=Heaven {Reading the equation again, it's actually the formula to another place, but I digress}
What has been on your wishlist lately?

I just love guys who dress well. Period. I admire a guy who's not confined to his T-shirt + Jeans + Sneakers combo. Although I do admit a fondness to casual-sporty-esque outfits or rather, creative recreational outfits for guys, I tend to tip my hat more to the adventurous kind who play and discover the style that suits them best. Who also have an appreciation to classic, basic and tailored pieces. ;)

What is it with Japanese men or just the Japanese in general that makes them pull-off theoretically fashionable outfits? By theoretically fashionable, I mean fashion styles/outfits that only look good in theory or in sketches but when worn, can invariably raise some eyebrows. If I see this outfit worn here, it'll just look ridiculous. Shorts + Tights? On a guy? I don't mean to sound rude and pull-out the double standard card but, no. Ditch the shorts and we're good to go. But he just pulls it off fantastically. And that necklace is LOVE.

My mom, who is an avid fan of online shopping, called my name {loudly}one day. I noticed the "upbeat" tone of the the way she called me so I scratched out me being in trouble. {I tend to incur the wrath of certain motherly err, affections}
So imagine my not-so-surprise when she showed me her latest purchases. Two big boxes from zalora came in, with two sets of shoes per box. I thought, wow, they certainly didn't skimp on presentation. Kudos to their marketing team! Good quality box and cute design too.
Moving on to the actual contents, I have a new pair of heels! And they're absolutely gorgeous.

What I'm most excited about is the red sole reminiscent of Christian Louboutin shoes! |
The upper part is leather and so are the insoles. |
It also has satin trimmings and really well made for the price. |
Now the only question is where to wear them? My mom suggests I wear them to an interview, which I completely disagree with since I don't want to be solely remembered for my outfit let alone my very eye-catching shoes. Then again, you have to look nice. :P
What do you think? And where do you usually shop for shoes and clothes?
With pieces this easy to put on, you'll look effortless yet put together.Although I do admit having a CK watch and that clutch helps with the "expensive" aura. And less is definitely more with just a cocktail ring and pendant necklace.
As for the shoes, they are classic in shape and color but the thing that stands out for sure is the heel part itself. Hmmm gold.
Now, how to make this work for work? Just add a simple blazer. See my two basic black blazers that I am particularly fond of.
Pick something that adds sleekness to the look and doesn't compete with all the other elements. This is not the focal point of the outfit. You are. When everything works well together, one element just adds to the other and makes the look more complete.
Hope you had fun reading my thoughts.

Hey Hey Hey! Unsure of how to pull-off a sheer blouse at work? If you're at a conservative office environment, certain clothes are a no-no ( Flip-Flops, Sandals, Slingbacks, Clear shoes, Expadrilles ) and it can be a bit constricting with certain trends that you're only allowed to try at weekends/nightouts/dinners. So here I am with a look that is work appropriate and safe. Read the post after the jump!
What the heck should I wear?! You've heard it and you've said it a lot and I mean a LOT of times in your life. Now these words are usually uttered or on occasion screamed, whenever we're going to an event wherein we want to look nice and still stand out from the throng of body-con/bandage dresses and strapless numbers.
My College graduation is in a weeks time, this coming Friday actually, and I admit I already have a dress. It's nice, flowy and floral. It Offers a little cleavage and leg action without the word "slutty" clinging to the air when you wear it. But seeing as it's an extra-hot summer, and with the slew of whites, off-whites and florals, my dress doesn't exactly stand-out from the crowd not to mention the fabric of my dress is itchy and hot, given this unforgiving hot sun and extra-hot air is probably not the smartest choice to wear.
Good thing I chanced upon the Nuffnang X ZALORA contest, because I can have a chance to make my desires a reality. Here are my choices.
Other than the fact that the material is light and breezy, the cut is demure.
The perfect silhouette for a school function.
I've always wanted to try the hi-low/mullet hem.
I'm in love with the heel detail.
And wedges are comfy, especially since I'll be doing the mandatory
jump-in-the-air-while-throwing-your-toga-hat-to-the-sky.
The hint of color on the side gives it
a young vibe.
Nothing makes entering the "real world" more official
than an elegant, simple and very cool time piece.
The perfect blue for the perfect day.
Even if the pieces I chose, in itself are very simple, together I think these would really make an impact marking my graduation a most memorable one. I mean, c'mon how often do you get to say to people that you won your whole outfit?
Summer's Here by csurita featuring vintage handbags
I love anything vintage, especially bags, clothes and sunglasses. And that BAG is soo adorable I can just put ice cream on top of it and eat it. So I figured most people would probably put something floral or anything and everything floral on their summer dress list; I decided to opt for color blocking-mod-havana-circa 1950. I hope I got that right, because I'm just making the words up as I go along.
A little birdy also told me that dainty rings are all the rage and they are right because they are so cute. Small and understated but can still make an outfit complete yaknowhatimean? How about you? What's your summer dress list?
